XL Group Global Day of Giving

The XL group, an International Insurance/Reinsurance Company, encourages it’s associates to participate in a Global Day of Giving – a local volunteer project event.  Michael Crossman, a rock climber and AMC volunteer contacted us last year about including Birdsboro Climbing Quarry as one of their projects.  Last year they donated hundreds of dollars of equipment (shovels and digging bars) as well as building materials for our projects.  This year they are donating an entire day of volunteering as well as donating the entire project’s materials to BACA.  We are really honored to welcome their participation with us in making Birdsboro Climbing Quarry and Birdsboro Waters a great recreation area by improving our infrastructure and it’s resources.  If you are out climbing that day be sure to say “thanks” to them for volunteering to help us on May 9, 2014 – the  XL Global Day of Giving.
